Core members of this research group have been working together for more than ten years. We started with work to ‘unpick’ the maths problem as it manifests in biology using a number of frameworks including the Thresholds Concepts framework. Our research has explored the impacts of new and emerging technologies on learning in life sciences, explored ‘students-as-partners’ as a research approach, and most recently we have been blurring the edges of western science to accommodate the arts and cultural competence in the curriculum.
